Pilatay's Pilates For Australia: Pilates Teachers Across The Globe Join Forces to Raise Nearly $10,000 For Australia Bush Fire Relief

Pilatay and the global Pilates community joined forces to raise nearly $10,000 for the relief and recovery efforts in Australia following the devastating bush fires. From mid January - mid February 2019, 25 Pilates studios and individual teachers from six different countries hosted fundraisers in their communities including online classes, special events, in-studio donation drives, and more. (Read: Pilates For Australia)

Funds raised benefitted The World Wildlife Fund Australia (WWF) with their response and recovery efforts including:

  • Wildlife response - including partnering with wildlife response organizations, communities and scientists nationally for a swift and effective response and recovery at scale.

  • Habitat restoration for people and nature - including restoring forests and damaged wildlife habitat, stopping deforestation, including cultivating habitat connectivity, core habitat and Indigenous and rural fire management.

  • Future proofing Australia - including driving innovative solutions to help mitigate climate change, driving climate preparedness, species adaptation and long-term wildlife and nature conservation efforts towards securing Australia’s natural resources for people and nature.

A HUGE thank you to all the participating studios who took time to organize, market and host these amazing fundraisers which have already raised more than $7,000.
